Description

The St John Health Shuttle is a community service that transports people to essential medical and health-related appointments, and then brings them home again. 

We operate a shuttle service in Rotorua and Taupō.

There is no age restriction for this service. (Under 16 years old need to travel with a parent or guardian)

This is a door to door service.

We have a closed down period from the 18th December - Re opening the 15th January 2024
You can make bookings from the 8th January 2024

First appointment time is 0830 and last appointment time is 1530

Appointments need to be made at least 24 hours before the appointment

(No bookings taken on the day)

Fees and Charges Description

We rely on donations to keep the Health Shuttles operating 

Hours

8:30 AM to 3:00 PM.

Mon – Fri 8:30 AM – 3:00 PM

The shuttle picks people up half an hour before the appointment.

Bookings are required with at least 24 hours notice.

Public Holidays: Closed ANZAC Day (25 Apr), King's Birthday (3 Jun), Matariki (28 Jun), Labour Day (28 Oct), Auckland Anniversary (27 Jan), Waitangi Day (6 Feb), Good Friday (18 Apr), Easter Sunday (20 Apr), Easter Monday (21 Apr).
