Services Provided
Immunisation is the safest and most effective way to provide protection for you and your tamariki’s health. For more information view the NZ immunisation schedule. Outreach Immunisation Services (OIS): The PHO is sub-contracted to deliver Outreach Immunisation Services on behalf of its general practices, for children aged under 6 years, enrolled within WBOPPHO. These services focus on those children who have been identified as having missed some or all of their scheduled childhood immunisations and have not been immunised within the general practice they are enrolled with. Outreach Immunisation Services are one of an integrated set of strategies aimed at improving immunisation coverage and ensuring that people have access to services that empower them to make informed decisions regarding immunisation. The experienced Outreach vaccinators also endeavour to identify and vaccinate opportunistically (following informed consent), any whanau member present who may be eligible for approved funded vaccinations, in the various age groups. Immunisation services are provided either in the home or in the community. Contact: hwsadmin@wboppho.org.nz
