Aged residential care is for older people who are no longer able to live independently and need long term care, usually either in a rest home or hospital. 

Psychogeriatric residential care is secure and for people who require a high level of specialist nursing care due to significant behavioural problems. This may be due to severe dementia, mental health, and/or addictions.
