Profile

Craig went to Kaikorai Valley High School in Dunedin and graduated from the Otago Medical School in 2000. His junior doctor years were spent in New Plymouth. Back in Dunedin, he spent some time as a registrar at the Dunedin Hospital Emergency Department. He practiced as a rural GP in Wanaka for several years before returning to Dunedin.

In addition to his postgraduate general practice qualifications, he holds a Diplomas in Paediatrics and In Travel medicine. He is a International Health regulations registered vaccinator (Yellow Fever). Craig is a medical educator, involved in the teaching programme for GP registrars. He has previously been chairman of the Otago/Southland Faculty of the Royal NZ College of GP’s, and was a GP representative on the Well Dunedin PHO board.

Outside of work Craig enjoys tramping, orienteering, mountain biking, growing fruit and vegetables, and photography.
