Elton is a graduate of the University of Auckland Medical School and completed his specialist radiology training in both Tauranga and Auckland. He joined Bay Radiology in 2016, becoming a partner in 2019 and then a Shareholding Radiologist when the group became part of RHCNZ Medical Imaging Group in 2022. Elton is a consultant radiologist at Tauranga Hospital and is an accredited Radiologist with Breast Screen Aotearoa. He has been the director of medical student training in radiology at Tauranga Hospital since 2018.
