Health, to me, is a fine balance of physical, emotional, social and spiritual aspects, and my role as a GP is to work within a patient focused multidisciplinary team to help achieve and maintain this equilibrium. 

My philosophy is gleaned from over 25 yr experience in general practice, working as a practice owner in Dunedin, as a medical officer at the Otago Community Hospice and locuming in both urban & rural settings around NZ, West Africa and Papua New Guinea. I enjoy the continuity of general practice, getting to know patients, and following problems through to resolution.

I have a strong emphasis on personal responsibility and preventative medicine, and try to lead by example, participating in a variety of outdoor sporting activities, gardening and working on our land.
