I obtained my medical degree and PhD and undertook my specialist training in Sweden, which is also my country of origin. In 2017 I relocated to New Zealand and Palmerston North with my family and took up a position as a consultant Obstetrician Gynaecologist at Palmerston North Hospital where I am now also the Medical Lead of the Obstetrics and Gynaecology service.

I am a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (FRANZCOG) and a member of the RANZCOG NZ Committee, Te Kāhui Oranga ō Nuku. I have a special interest in obstetric and gynaecological ultrasound and laparoscopic surgery and I am a member of the International Society of Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynaecology (ISUOG) and the Australasian Gynaecological Endoscopy and Surgery Society (AGES). I also have a strong interest in quality assurance and quality improvement in women’s health.

I consult in all areas of gynaecology, including colposcopy and perform a wide range of gynaecological procedures including laparoscopic and vaginal hysterectomies, laparoscopic treatment of ovarian cysts, hysteroscopies and prolapse surgery. I am IOTA certified in gynaecological ultrasound and I offer point of care ultrasound to the patients I see. I am happy to see patients who have not yet had an ultrasound done.
