Dr. Sese recently completed his specialty training in Oral Surgery at the University of Otago and Dunedin Public Hospital, culminating nearly a decade of education and surgical training. Born and raised in Apia, Samoa, he moved to Dunedin in 2011 to earn his Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS, 2015).
Dr. Sese has extensive experience in both public and private practice. He began his career in Samoan public hospitals, where he discovered his passion for oral surgery. He later practiced in Invercargill, focusing on rural oral health and expanding his clinical skills to reduce the need for specialist referrals outside Southland. This led him to complete a Master of Dentistry in Rural Oral Health before pursuing specialty training in Oral Surgery.
Now an Associate Surgeon at NSOMS, Dr. Sese is highly trained in dentoalveolar surgery, including wisdom teeth removal, dental implants, bone grafting, and oral pathology. He is dedicated to delivering exceptional care while ensuring patient comfort and reducing anxiety.
