Retinal Screening
People with diabetes are at risk of developing eye damage called diabetic retinopathy. When a person has been diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes the THINK Hauora General Practice Team will refer them to an Optometrist to monitor any changes. This examination should be completed every 2 to 3 years.
