Profile

Cameron spent his childhood growing up in the mighty Waikato. On completion of his schooling, he went on to attend Auckland Medical School. During his medical training Cameron took opportunities to experience life living around various parts of New Zealand and overseas whilst completing his studies. The most enjoyable place he lived was a three-month stint in the Cook Islands where he served caring for New Zealand’s fellow Cook Island Māori.

On completion of his Bachelor of Surgery and Bachelor of Medicine (MBChB), Cameron took a post at Tauranga Hospital as a junior doctor. Here, he completed his post-graduate training and completed a Diploma in Child Health (DCH) through the University of Otago.

Cameron fell in love with the charm of Tauranga, and ended up getting married to his wife in the hills of Ohauiti. Recently, Cameron welcomed into the world his first child, and now spends lots of his time with his young family. He enjoys outdoor pursuits including paddleboarding, tennis and mountain biking, he also enjoys creative activities and dabbles in classical guitar.

Cameron has a special interest in men’s health, child health and healthcare equity.

Cameron is based at our Bethlehem clinic, but does rotate into our other clinics periodically.
