Donna began her journey in healthcare in 2003 when she qualified with a Nursing degree and worked in a cardiac care and cardiothoracic/vascular surgical ward before joining the WMC team. While working as a Practice Nurse in Whangamatā she completed her Prime training and a Post Graduate Diploma in Advanced Nursing.

In 2014 Donna graduated from the Auckland Medical School and began her GP training in 2017. She has spent time working at Whakatāne Hospital and Te Kaha Medical Centre on the East Coast before moving back to Whangamatā.

Donna has also completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Paediatrics and in enrolled in the GPEP programme heading towards fellowship with the Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners.
