Kiran started work at Fifth Avenue in 2010 and joined as an associate one year later. He was born in South Africa and completed his training in Pretoria. He emigrated to New Zealand in 2002 and was instantly in awe of the beauty and sunshine here in the Bay of Plenty. He started work at Whakatāne Hospital and then later at Tauranga Hospital. He has also worked as a locum at most major hospitals around the North and South Island. He has lived in Tauranga since 2005 and now proudly calls it home. He has a keen interest in family medicine including children and older adults, men's health, health promotion and weight management, and enjoys minor surgery and skin cancer treatment. Having spent several years training in Mental Health, he practices with empathy and compassion. He values the relationships formed with his patients and variety that general practice brings. Kiran enjoys spending time with his friends and family and Oscar. (his cocker-spaniel) He also enjoys running, snowboarding, fishing and traveling the world.
