Dr. Michael began his medical journey by earning a physiotherapy degree from Otago University in 2014. He then worked as a physio while studying medicine, completing his medical degree from the University of Auckland in 2019. With experience at Middlemore, Auckland, and Starship Hospitals, followed by two years as a GP registrar in Botany, 

Dr. Howlett is now in his second year of the Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners' fellowship training programme. His physio training gives him expertise in musculoskeletal issues, minor procedures, and he has skills in mental health, particularly ADHD, which he personally manages. Dr. Howlett strives to provide holistic, patient-centered care.
