Repeat Prescriptions

Each GP surgery or primary care practice will have its own procedure for repeat prescribing but the following rules are common to most, if not all. Patients who are well-known to the practice who have a stable condition like asthma, hypertension or diabetes could be allowed to get a repeat prescription for up to six months. Repeat prescriptions are never given to patients who are not known to the practice and there is probably a blanket ban on repeats for narcotics and other drugs that could be misused as doctors are expected to monitor these drugs carefully.

PRESCRIPTIONS and TEST RESULTS

Once you have registered for the patient portal, HEALTH 365, you may request repeat prescriptions on line https://health365.co.nz/SGAccount/LogOn

To register for Health 365, please call reception on 630 9507 line 1 with your preferred email and we will send you a registration link.

You may also use this portal to book appointments with doctors or nurses, and to review your laboratory results.

Alternatively, phone Cairnhill (09) 630 9507, and choose line 2 to order your repeat prescriptions with one of our practice nurses. Please state your full name and date of birth.

We require  24 hours notice and are happy to fax prescriptions to your chemist.

The fee for this is $25.00 for prescriptions, collected,  faxed or posted.
