This practice provides Covid-19 testing to enrolled and casual patients. Please call the practice for more information.

 

Covid-19 Testing 

People in Otago or Southland seeking a COVID-19 test should call 0800 Virus 19 (0800 847 8719) or their local GP for advice. If you are offered a COVID-19 test please take it. It will help us ensure we don't have community transmission, and help keep your friends and whānau safe. Regardless of where you are tested, COVID-19 testing is free of charge.

Call your GP or 0800 VIRUS 19 (0800 847 8719) to get tested. If you don't have a GP, or your GP does not offer COVID-19 tests, you can be tested at a designated practice. Call 0800VIRUS19 / 0800 847 8719 to arrange testing.

Description

East Otago Health provides 24 hour, 7 days per week, Medical Care to the East Otago Community. Our main clinic is located in Palmerston, East Otago, with a satellite clinic in Waikouaiti, located 14km to the south.
We have a dedicated team of Clinical Staff, PRIME Responders, and Administration/Reception Staff.

East Otago Health is a Rural General Practice, and also holds the PRIME response contract for the region.

PLEASE NOTE: Waikouaiti Clinic is open Friday mornings only currently for Blood Tests. 
Due to staffing issues we will open when we have enough staff to cover services offered in this clinic.
