About Kaipara Medical Centre
Kaipara Medical Centre is a rural general practice dedicated to providing high-quality, patient-centred healthcare for you and your whānau. As a community practice, we are proudly owned and operated by local clinicians Jo Reid, Tomos Longworth, and Kathryn Elcock, who are committed to supporting the health and wellbeing of our local community.
All routine consultations are by appointment only, with a standard consultation time of 15 minutes. If you feel you may need a longer appointment, please let our reception team know when booking so we can ensure enough time is allocated for your visit.
Important Information
We are a general practice and not an Accident & Emergency Centre. Patients with life-threatening or severe emergencies should call 111 or go directly to the nearest hospital.
However, due to the distance from North Shore and Waitākere hospitals, our team can provide basic first aid and urgent care during normal opening hours where appropriate.
Acute Care Clinic (Walk-In Service)
To help manage urgent health concerns, Kaipara Medical Centre offers an Acute Care Clinic, a walk-in service available Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 3:00pm.
This clinic is designed for same-day, urgent medical issues that cannot wait for a routine appointment. The service is available to enrolled patients only and is charged at standard consultation rates.
Please note that patients are seen based on clinical priority, and waiting times may vary depending on demand and the urgency of cases.
Our team is here to support the health of our community and appreciates your understanding as we work to provide safe and effective care for all our patients.
