My husband now has bad anxiety to visit his GP when needed, he gets dirty looks and spoken to rudely and unprofessionally by the receptionists

Poor appointment system. Often takes 45minutes to get through.
Hard to get appointments in an acceptable timeframe and the solution (advised by them) is to go to the expensive accident and emergency clinics which are also owned by them for a normal GP appointment. The doctors when you can get to them are lovely though.
