In our premises at the foot of the Wither Hills in Blenheim, you will find doctors and nurses helping patients – but that’s where the similarities to the traditional medical model end.
We’re a kaupapa-Māori charity set up to offer healthcare in a more flexible, culturally-safe, and whānau-centred way. Our team are passionate about providing high-quality healthcare, focusing on all aspects of hauora and wellbeing through the Te Whare Tapa Whā model. To achieve that, we have fewer patients on our books, so we can see them promptly – and have time to spend helping in a holistic way, not just one problem at a time.
We’re committed to offering a service that meets the needs of all our population, ensuring we reduce inequities in access to healthcare and improve health outcomes for our highest need patients in Wairau.
“Manu Ora” refers to the bird taking flight, having achieved hauora. Together, we take flight.
