Manurewa Healthcare is a Cornerstone accredited practice and a member of Total Health PHO. We pride ourselves in giving the best possible healthcare to our patients and local community.

We are a family centred surgery offering a full range of general practice and accident & medical services to you and your family located in the town centre of Manurewa.

Manurewa Healthcare will try and minimise your waiting times by booking longer appointments for those patients who need more time spent with them, as well as informing you if your waiting time is likely to be more than 30 minutes.

We are now on Patient Portal. 

Please register with reception so that you can make your appointments online and look up your test results online or request a repeat prescription.

For security purposes we have in operation CCTV 24 hours a day. Images are only used for the purpose of security and are stored for three months. 

We recommend CareHQ as our preferred GP service for patients, after-hours or when we are unavailable. CareHQ is available 7 days a week 7am - 7pm. Find out more.

GPs:
Dr Tim Wilkinson
Dr Tim Wilkinson founded the practice in 1988 and was joined by Dr Victor Wong in 2000.  He has been involved in undergraduate medical teaching since 1993.

Dr Wilkinson's main interests include improving and teaching communication skills to enhance the doctor / patient relationship.  He has a special interest in chronic care management of diabetes, respiratory and congestive heart failure through the Procare primary health initiatives.  Dr Wilkinson has a postgraduate diploma in obstetrics.

Outside the family practice, he enjoys multisport and swimming.

Dr Victor Wong
Dr Victor Wong graduated from Otago University in 1981.  He commenced general practice in Manurewa in 1986, initially as a solo GP then joined Dr Wilkinson at Manurewa Healthcare in 2000. 

Dr Wong is a fellow of The Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners.  He has a particular interest in preventative health, sports medicine and accident and medical work.  Dr Wong is able to insert IUCDs and Jadelle implants.

He is a keen runner and has competed in team multisport events in the past.

For visitors the standard fee is $65.00 for 18+, and $33.00 for 14-17years old.

Recommended after-hours virtual provider: If it’s after hours or if one of our doctors is not available, you can get a virtual GP consultation with a real doctor by using CareHQ, from 7am – 7pm, 7 days per week.

For Accident and Emergencies, go to: Bakerfield Medical and Urgent Care or Counties Care. After 8pm 24hr care is available at Ascot Accident & Medical 90 Green Lane East, Remuera.
