Covid-19 testing

GP practice - enrolled patients only

This practice provides COVID-19 testing to enrolled patients. We offer testing for our patients on certain days depending on staffing and weather. Please call the practice for more information.  Otherwise Please refer to a list of other testing services available.

MGP continues to care for our patients and as we move into level 1 we continue to keep doing things differently. Many appointments will be by phone or virtual (online) - see updates on our website www.mgpdoctors.nz .Please DO NOT COME INTO PRACTICE IF YOU HAVE RESPIRATORY SYMPTOMS ( discuss with reception on phone).

If you do have an onsite appointment we need to continue to keep our waiting room safe especially for our vulnerable patients: (you will be given these instructions when you book)

  • come on time- not early ( to keep waiting room non crowded)
  • please wear a mask (we have a small stock for $2.00 each if you don't have one)
  • please come alone or with only one support person where needed
  • please only come with one problem so you will only spend 15 minutes maximum onsite except in special circumstances like minor surgery

We realise there will be some situations where these requirements may be difficult to meet - if so then discuss with reception and we will work out how we can still look after you.

Currently in level 1 the processes below are mostly reactivated-

  • Meadowbank General Practice is committed to providing comprehensive quality care to our patients and offer a wide range of family medical services

  • Our standard consultation time is 15 minutes. Longer appointments may be requested and special appointments are necessary for certain services eg: Minor Surgery, IUCD fitting, Insurance Medicals, Driver Licence Medicals.
