Manurewa Marae is committed to improving access to health, education, and social services through Whare Oranga. Whare Oranga is an integrated whānau community health centre with the aim of being able to provide the right services for our whānau (families) from the right place, for all ethnicities. From the development of our Whare Tupuna, Whare Kai, Whare Kura we now have available Whare Oranga.

Te Manu Aute Whare Oranga pride ourselves as a Marae based initiative that is able to provide free GP services for our whānau including discounted medications for enrolled patients.

Te Manu Aute Whare Oranga was established in 2010 and is based at Manurewa Marae. We offer a range of services that target the wellbeing of whānau within our community. The services we provide target a holistic approach to whānau wellness, enhancing families to move towards a healthier future, where whānau are in control of their health and social wellbeing.

  • Long Acting Reversible Contraception - IUD, Jadelle
  • Discounted medications for all enrolled patients through Clendon Pharmacy
  • Whānau Ora - whānau support services
  • Hearing clinic
  • Cervical smears
  • Traditional healing and alternative services
  • Matakite (clairvoyant, spiritual connectiveness)
  • Mirimiri (massage)
  • Pain Specialist in acupuncture, seed and colour therapy.

We are enrolling new patients - your first visit before enrolling will cost $35.00 and any follow up visits in the same month will be $10.00.

Children aged 0 - 17 years are FREE.

Nursing services are free.

Prescriptions - same Day $15.00

Prescriptions - processed within 3 days FREE

You may be charged for a dressing change please enquire with the Nurses.
