Third Age Health is a primary care provider with a special focus on the health and wellbeing of older people living in aged residential care and in the community. Through our network of general practices we also provide healthcare for people of all ages.

We have a dedicated team of General Practitioners and Nurse Practitioners who provide:

  • regular, scheduled rounds
  • 24/7 access to a practitioner
  • guaranteed locum cover

Third Age Health provides general practice healthcare services to over 50 aged care facilities throughout New Zealand.

In addition Third Age Health has a group of boutique general practices providing quality primary healthcare to people of all ages. These practices include Belmont Medical Centre, Devonport Family Medicine, Hawkes Bay Wellness Centre and Ponsonby Medical Centre.

Third Age Health has over seventy experienced and professional clinicians providing primary healthcare in a range of settings across New Zealand.

Our fees are reasonable and well structured. We work with individual care facilities to agree a fee strcture that reflects the service required.

Healthcare Services for Aged Residential Care Facilities

Focused on aged care All of our clients are residential aged care facilities. This means our practice is set up to deliver healthcare services in a way that best suits the needs of care homes., 24/7 access to a doctor Our practice guarantees access to a medical practitioner for medical advice over the phone, and house calls where required, any time of the day or night. Your on-call Third Age Health doctor can remotely access each resident’s medical notes and make informed, supportive decisions, at any time of the day or night., Regular, scheduled rounds by a practitioner Because aged care is our focus, our clinicians stick to schedules set out in advance, allowing better planning and coordination with nursing teams., Guaranteed locum cover Third Age Health guarantees locum cover (a temporary replacement for your regular GP or nurse practitioner) whenever your regular doctor is unavailable.
