The Timaru After Hours Medical Services is part of the Timaru After Hours Roster. This is jointly run by Drs from the following practices:

Monday to Friday: The location of the after hours clinic changes depending on which practice is on duty.

Weekends and Public Holidays:  The After Hours Clinic is located at 45 Heaton Street and the hours are as follows

Please call 03 684 8209 or your own GP's clinic number and a triage nurse will assess you.  Where a Drs consultation is needed, the triage nurse will link you to the appropriate services.

Timaru After Hours is for urgent care, people should expect wait times due to the unpredictable nature of After Hours clinics. Abuse towards staff will not be tolerated.

Public Holidays: Open on all public holidays The following public holidays differ to standard opening hours: Labour Day (28 Oct, 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM), Waitangi Day (6 Feb, 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM), Good Friday (18 Apr, 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM), Easter Monday (21 Apr, 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM), ANZAC Day (25 Apr, 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM), King's Birthday (2 Jun, 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM), Matariki (20 Jun, 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM), South Canterbury Anniversary (22 Sep, 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM).
