Description

Welcome to Tuakau Health Centre.

We are a rural practice situated in the heart of Franklin, approximately 50 minutes south of Auckland.

Our practice started out 30 years ago as a solo GP practice situated a little further down George Street. At the end of 2000, due to the growth of our practice, we moved into a brand new modern, purpose-built surgery which was larger and closer to the CBD of Tuakau.

We are a teaching practice.

We offer a wide variety of services including general medical consultations, minor surgical procedures, routine immunisations, travel immunisations, sexual health clinics, women's health clinics, diabetic clinics, spirometry, ECGs, diabetic retinal screening clinics, podiatry clinics and blood taking services (booked appointments only).

Staff

Jo Eustace is our wonderful Nurse Practitioner who has over 25 years' Primary Health Care experience.  
Tammy Cooney is our new Nurse Practitioner who has joined the team. She has extensive experience in Primary Care.
Both Jo & Tammy can see all patients that our GPs can, they can complete & send referrals, repeat prescriptions and much more.
Janelle Weren is our Community Nurse Prescriber and has over 17 years' Primary Health Care experience.

Jo,Tammy and Janelle are here to offer our patients great care alongside our GPs.

Urgent (Same-Day Request, within 24hrs) — $30.00

Hours

Mon – Fri 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

After hours: We partner with Ka Ora Telecare to provide same day virtual GP appointments for enrolled patients, as an extension of our regular medical centre team.  

Ka Ora Telecare is available weekdays from 5pm to 8.30am and 24/7 weekends/public holidays.
