  • You must book an appointment in advance, no walk-ins will be accepted.

  • You will need to wait here at least 20 minutes after having your vaccine.
  • You must be well on the day of your vaccine.
  • You may bring a support person if absolutely necessary but due to our small waiting area it is best if only those who have an appointment for a vaccine are here.

  • If you are unwell on the day or discover you cannot make your appointment you will need to call or email our COVID Vaccine team to reschedule. Give us as much warning as you can!
  • Please wear clothes that enable our vaccinators to easily access your upper arm. While you wait for your vaccine you can help us by removing your coat/outer layer(s) in preparation for your vaccine.
  • You will need to wait at least 2 weeks after any vaccine before you can have your COVID19 vaccines. Please let our COVID Vaccine team know if you have had a vaccine recently.
  • Please let us know if you have ever had any severe reaction to anything in the past eg. Throat swelling, anaphylaxis or severe rash. Or if you have any blood disorder, as we may have to monito your vaccine appointment differently.

The Team at Wadestown Medical

Getting a COVID-19 vaccine is an important step you can take to protect yourself, your kaumātua and whānau from the effects of the virus. For more information on the COVID-19 vaccines and eligibility visit Ministry of Health - COVID-19 vaccines

The majority of routine vaccinations can now be administered before, after, or at the same time as your COVID-19 vaccinations. The exception to this is the Zostavax (shingles) vaccine where a 7-day gap before or after receiving the Pfizer COVID-19 is advised. If you have any questions, please discuss with your health provider.
