The majority of routine vaccinations can now be administered before, after, or at the same time as your COVID-19 vaccinations. The exception to this is the Zostavax (shingles) vaccine where a 7-day gap before or after receiving the Pfizer COVID-19 is advised. Description

Waiuku Health Centre is a rural general practice. It is a friendly practice with a good relationship between doctors and staff. Our patients are our local community. The next medical practice is a 15 minute drive away. Waiuku is an affluent, active and growing town 60 km from the centre of Auckland, and 45 km from Auckland Airport.

We moved in to a new purpose built building in October 2010 which contains a full range of health services including physiotherapy, chiropractor, pharmacy, counsellor, dentist, and laboratory etc.

We currently have eleven GPs working full and part time. We are supported by 12 practice nurses (usually 6-7 consulting daily), five receptionists, and a practice manager. We work closely with our local hospital nurses, district nurses, childcare nurse, and other branches of our strong and close-knit community. We have a visiting diabetic nurse and dietitian. We also have a visiting Orthopaedic Surgeon, Gastroenterologist and Podiatrist.  Clinics are held at Waiuku Health Centre for Adolescent Mental Health, Adult Mental Health and Health of the Older Person.
