Description
Te Tahi Youth is a ‘one-stop shop’ for medical, sexual and mental health services, as well as mentoring and employment support to help you find your way through life.
We provide expert, confidential healthcare to rangatahi aged 10-24 years old . We have drop in clinics Monday and Wednesday 2pm to 4pm and Fridays from 10am to 12pm, these are 15 minute appointments for minor ailments. We can see casual people for these nurse led clinics. We're here to help with anything you'd typically bring to a GP and it won't cost you a thing.

LARC methods are very effective at preventing unplanned pregnancy and are “fit and forget” forms of contraception – you don’t need to remember them every day or every month. LARC methods: Intrauterine Contraceptive Devices (IUCD or IUD) are inserted through the cervix into a woman’s uterus. IUCDs may be either hormonal (Mirena® or Jaydess® ) or non-hormonal (copper IUCD). Jadelle® is a hormone-releasing implant that is inserted just under the skin of the upper arm. These tests could be anything from blood sugar to a full blood count or a sample of tissue to test for cancer. Most results come back within 48 hours unless a very rare test is needed which has to go to a specialist lab further away when it might take a little longer.
