Profile

While Dr Brown cares for most types of disorders of the head and neck region and sinuses, he specialises in surgery of the ear. He is the consultant ear surgeon to Starship Children's Hospital, treating and operating on a wide range of ear diseases, deformities and deafness. He is also a senior lecturer in surgery at the University of Auckland.

Dr Brown co-ordinates the Starship Microtia Atresia multidisciplinary clinic and multidisciplinary meetings concerning the care of deaf children and their progress with cochlear implants and hearing aids.

Dr Brown is a past President of the Australasian Society of Paediatric Otolaryngology.
