Profile

Dr Alawi graduated from medical school in the late eighties and worked in Iraq for Many years.  she worked in Australia for 10 years and in New Zealand for 6 years .  She has a specialist GP qualification (Fellowship) from the Australian Royal College and accredited by the New Zealand Royal College of General Practitioners.

Dr Alawi has worked as a GP for more than 25 years.  She very much enjoys the one-on-one interactions with her patients, and finds the problem solving aspect of her job extremely rewarding. 

Unlike other areas of the medical practice, a GP is often dealing with the diagnosis phase which requires action and recognition before matters get worse.  Her ambition as a GP is to continue focusing on prevention and accessibility, and to make a positive change towards a healthier and happier community.
