Abir originally trained in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in Bagdad but has been working in New Zealand since 1998. Abir completed her speciality and Fellowship training in New Zealand.
She is an O&G consultant at North Shore Hospital and a visiting consultant to Southern Cross Hospital and Shore Surgery.
Interests
Abir is interested in obstetrics, medical and general surgical gynaecology and is a CQUIP accredited colposcopist. She runs the Colposcopy MDM at North Shore Hospital.
