Mr Mark Omundsen

Mark has a private practice at Tauranga Specialist Centre, and operates at Tauranga and Grace Hospitals. He publishes in the field of colorectal surgery, and takes an active part in research programmes within his surgical field at Tauranga Hospital, contributing to publications that arise from this research.

Mark has a particular interest in the surgical treatment of bowel and rectal cancer, inflammatory bowel disease and pelvic floor disorders.

Mark attained his Royal Australasian College of Surgeons Fellowship in 2009 and successfully applied to the Colorectal Society of Australia and New Zealand’s subspecialty Colorectal Fellowship program the same year. He has been accredited with the New Zealand Conjoint Committee for the performance of both upper (gastroscopy) and lower (colonoscopy) gastrointestinal endoscopy.
