Description

NURSE PRACTITIONER OWNED AND OPERATED.

Family Health Matters is a primary health centre providing evidence based healthcare centrally located in the Glen Innes Community, for all your family health needs. We make it our point to see your sick child under 5 on the same day.

Our mission is to create a safe and supportive space in which we can work together and provide personalised, family-oriented medical care to the people in our community and surrounding areas who want to take control of their health and live a more vibrant and healthy life.

“We help patients feel like themselves again”

Our Approach at Family Health Matters

At Family Health Matters, our focus is simple.

We help people feel better, understand their health and move forward with confidence.

Healthcare can often feel rushed, confusing, or impersonal. We believe it should be the opposite - thoughtful, supportive and built around the individual sitting in front of us. That means creating a space where patients feel safe to talk openly about their health, where they are listened to carefully and where their concerns are taken seriously.

Our care is grounded in evidence-based medicine and best clinical practice, but we also recognise that every person’s health story is different. No two patients arrive with exactly the same experiences, symptoms, or goals. That’s why we take a whole-person approach.

We look at the full picture - physical health, lifestyle, family circumstances and long-term wellbeing so we can develop practical, personalised plans that support lasting health.

We take the time to understand what patients are experiencing, explain what may be happening in their body and work together to create solutions that help them feel stronger, healthier and more in control of their wellbeing. And when additional expertise is needed, we work closely with a network of trusted healthcare specialists to ensure our patients receive the most comprehensive care possible.

Because great healthcare is not just about treating illness.

It’s about helping people live healthier, fuller lives and feel like themselves again.

As every body and mind is different, we are mindful of our patients’ needs and taking the time to develop a personalised treatment plan for our patients. We are working as a team and we are part of a wide network of health specialists to which we can refer our patients as needed.

The business of treating people, not patients — Family Health Matters
