Dr Leonie has been working at Alberton Medical for nearly 15 years. A Cantabrian originally, she completed her medical degree in 1991 (Otago) and has lived in Auckland since the turn of the century and raised 2 children here. She has worked in Australia , the UK , South Auckland and Mt Eden prior to Alberton (and enjoyed electives in central Australia and Papua New Guinea) and has post graduate qualifications in child health (Diploma of Child Health , London) and gynaecology (Diploma of Obstetrics and Medical Gynaecology , Auckland ).
She is a fellow of the College of GP's , having completed GP specialisation training in 2006. She enjoys the wide variety of general practice and meeting people from all walks of life.
Dr Cassie hails from Melbourne, having graduated Monash University MBBS 2005. She moved to NZ in 2008 and has called Auckland her home since. She has previously worked in rural NZ, outback Australia, but mainly has worked as a GP in west and now central Auckland. In her free time she enjoys cycling (you might see her biking to work), gardening and tramping with her two primary school aged kids. She takes an interest in women's and children's health, Pacific health and really enjoys treating multigenerational families.
Dr Nish joined Alberton Medical team in Feb 2025 after maternity leave.
She’s originally from Sri Lanka and moved to NZ with her family in 2001. She graduated from University of Otago Medical school ( MBChB) in 2009. Prior to that she completed a BSc (Biomedical science) at University of Auckland in 2004.
After finishing Medical school, she moved back home to Auckland and worked at Middlemore and Starship hospital for close to 3 years. During this time she completed a Diploma of Paediatrics at University of Auckland ( 2010). She completed her GP training in 2015 and gained Fellowship of The Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners. Since then, she has worked in high needs clinics in South Auckland gaining experience across various aspects of General practice. Her special interests include Women’s health, Children’s health and enjoys the diversity of General practice.
Outside of work, her 2 young daughters keep her busy. She enjoys going for walks, reading and gardening.

For new patients, as they are not funded, the cost of an initial appointment is $100 ( $85 for CSC holders for whom we have not received funding as yet). We offer a 30 minute appointment to thoroughly go through your medical history. This appointment is required to be prepaid. Follow up appointments are then at the usual funded rate as above.
We provide Southern Cross Easy-claim facility.
Please could new patients bring in their passports/visas and Birth Certificates as these are required for the enrolment process.

Phone GP practice and follow instructions. You will be transferred to an after hours service who will direct you.
