Mr Andrew Currie is an adult and paediatric otolaryngologist with particular interest in the following areas:
- Chronic middle-ear disease (glue ear and sequelae)
- Hearing loss (stapedectomy)
- Balance disorders
- Otoplasty
- Snoring.
Mr Currie's private consultations are held at Tangmere Clinic and infrequently at the New Zealand Dizziness and Balance Centre in Auckland. Private surgery is performed at Anglesea Hospital and Southern Cross Hospital, Hamilton.
Tangmere Clinic is fully equipped for complete assessment (including photodocumentation) of all ENT disorders including videoendoscopy (rigid and flexible) and limited computerised assessment of the balance-disordered patient (including videonystagmography). Dilworth Audiology is on-site. Complex assessments of balance disturbed patients are done at the New Zealand Dizziness and Balance Centre in Auckland.
