Bookings are taken through your midwife or contact us directly for booking information. 

If you are eligible for New Zealand publicly funded health services there are no charges at our facility. For women non eligible, please contact us for fee schedule.

General visiting hours are from 8am till 8pm.

We encourage you to respect the needs of mother and baby to allow them to rest. 

Meals are provided for mother and baby. Partners must arrange for their own food.

There is a bus service from Warkworth to Wellsford on the hour.

Free parking is available at the front of the clinic. We encourage this parking to only be used by expectant mothers. Visitors are encouraged to park on the roadside above the birthing unit.

We have a two-bedroom facility with double beds and a shared bathroom.  Partners or significant others are invited to stay but need to provide their own food.

Wellsford Pharmacy is located in the main street of town.

We have security guards who patrol the facility each night. Cars can be parked outside the unit and will be safe.The Birthing Unit is locked when not attended and access is through your LMC or midwife who will meet you on arrival and open the unit.
