I am a registered midwife with twenty five years' experience in the UK and NZ. I have experience in caseloading low and high risk women during childbirth. I have a Masters degree in Midwifery from London University and the philosophy of my practice is based on the belief that childbirth is a normal event and I can provide total midwifery care not only with skill but also with kindness, courtesy and respect for individual needs and beliefs. I work in collaboration with the support of a great team of core midwives and specialists at NSH and by making timely referrals, I ensure a safe pregnancy and childbirth for high risk cases.
I am pleased to announce that I am affiliated by the Institute of HypnoBirthing Mongan Method, the gold standard of childbirth education of deep relaxation, self-hypnosis, special breathing techniques, affirmations and visualisation. As a certified HB Educator I run one to one HypnoBirthing classes for all mothers and their companion who are keen to give birth in an easier, more comfortable and pain free manner and babies are born in an atmosphere of gentility, calm and joy. A celebration of life with childbirthing without fear.
