Midwifery Service
Description
I'm a registered midwife working as an LMC. I graduated with a BHSc in Midwifery and have spent the last 10 years working both as core staff at Auckland Hospital & as an LMC in central Auckland. Recently I have decided to bring my practice closer to home in Norwest Auckland.
I love the ethnic diversity that comes with working in this field. I find it incredibly humbling and an absolute privilege to be a close part of this journey together with the families I care for. My joy over the years is having my families come back with subsequent pregnancies and watching their babies grow into amazing children!
My philosophy involves encouraging women to keep themselves fit, healthy and happy during their pregnancies and a safe, positive outcome for mum and baby is the most important aspect to me. I'm a firm believer in continuity of care and building an informed and trusting relationship with the women I care for.
I'm comfortable birthing at home, primary birthing units and in the hospital setting with my focus being on preparing your body for natural birth and aiming to avoid unnecessary interventions where appropriate.
My clinic will be held in Kumeū on a Monday.
