My mother, Mrs Kailelei Tepou a qualified Registered Nurse and Obstetric Nurse trained in Samoa, had inspired me with her stories of delivering babies in Tokelau and Samoa, which led me into this profession. I am passionate about serving the women and families of the Pacific.
I qualified firstly as a Registered Comprehensive Nurse in 1991, then continued on to train as a Registered Midwife in 1993. I was able over the years to deliver women in ALL maternity hospitals in Auckland, but for now, I am focusing mainly on Auckland City Hospital and Birthcare in Parnell.
A midwife for 28 years, I thoroughly enjoy the autonomy of LMC work providing all spectrums of maternity care: Pregnancy, Labour and Delivery, and Postnatal Care. I feel privileged to be in a position to be an advocate to serve the women of the Pacific.  Overall I provide maternity care to women from all varying ethnicities.
My ethnicity is Tokelau and Tuvalu Islands.
How to Get Hold of Me:
I should make contact within 48 hrs. It helps to provide your full legal name, patient number, dob, medical and previous pregnancy and deliveries history, address, all contact numbers, height, weight, BMI and chosen hospital to birth as well. I need to know your residency status to qualify for FREE maternity care. It would be useful when seeing your GP to ask for pregnancy scans and blood test reports to bring to your first visit with me or faxed to my fax number via your GP.
