Philosophy of care: For me midwifery is a passion, not just a job. I believe in the ability of a woman's body to bring a healthy new life into the world but am very aware that there are circumstances that require alternative care requirements. I have a strong working relationship with all staff at Waitakere Hospital which ensures a positive experience for every woman in my care.

General Bio: I love being a Westie and returned to my home country in 1989 with my husband Colin after having trained in the UK. I worked within the NHS system before embarking into private maternity hospitals providing midwifery care. My husband and I have 2 adult sons who were both born and bred in West Auckland.

I have been a midwife for 34 years and enjoy working within a holistic framework, providing quality midwifery care for the women in the West Auckland community. I am happy to look after women who have had a previous C/Section, and offer water birth and home birth services. I have access to Waitakere Hospital and am also comfortable providing midwifery services within a hospital setting.
