Description

This is a residential service which provides a safe environment where people with alcohol and other drug dependence can withdraw from their substances of choice. There are 10 beds for men and women over the age of 17 years who meet the criteria.

Description

The Mission Community Mental Health Nurse works across all City Mission services including the men’s and women’s night shelters. Clients frequently have complex physical and mental health issues which the nurse is able to help address in order to assist people to move forward with their lives.

Description

Elm Tree Lodge Supported Accommodation is for people recovering from Alcohol and Other Drug misuse. We provide a residence in the community which offers support for people recovering from alcohol and/or other drug dependence. The City Mission supervises the residence and works with clients as they reintegrate into the Community.

Description

People over the age of 13 years are offered counselling and case management in order to reduce the harm caused by their own, or others, alcohol or other substance misuse. Referral to residential or outpatient alcohol and drug services is provided if required.

This service offers people the opportunity to remain at home and have their substance withdrawal managed by a specialist detoxification nurse and their own general practitioner.

Description

Wahine Whai Ora is a women's day service for those who want to make changes to their alcohol and drug use. Women work in groups and in individual counselling setting using the model of recovery that most suits their individual needs.  The women also participate in other life skill development programmes.
