Rata Alcohol & Other Drugs Service is the specialist service for the assessment and treatment of alcohol and /or other drugs issues. We are part of Health New Zealand/Te Whatu Ora. We provide the pathway for referrals to social detoxification and residential treatment facilities. We also partner with local non-government organisations such as Emerge Aotearoa, PACT, Poutini Waiora, & Salvation Army Bridge Programme - Community Service to provide the most comprehensive range of alcohol and other drug treatments to the people of the West Coast.

Please contact us to check capacity. The OST programme is currently not open to transfers or new referrals due to being oversubscribed.

Public Transport
St John runs two rural shuttle services from Monday - Friday. St John do not charge a fee for this services, however they do accept donations to help cover costs.
