Description

The Rodger Wright Centre is DISC Trust’s Christchurch-based harm reduction and community health hub, providing a range of free and confidential services for people who use drugs and the wider community. Services include needle exchange and safer injecting equipment, overdose prevention and naloxone access, drug checking, harm reduction education, peer support, safer disposal options for used equipment, and referrals to health and social services.

The centre also operates a community health clinic providing sexual health support, wound care, blood-borne virus testing and support pathways, hepatitis C testing and treatment support, basic primary health interventions, and health assessments for people who may face barriers accessing mainstream healthcare.

In addition, the Rodger Wright Centre provides a dedicated steroid and image and performance enhancing drug (IPED) clinic offering non-judgemental health advice, safer injecting education, sexual health support, and harm reduction information tailored to people using anabolic steroids and other performance and image enhancing substances.
