Referrals are accepted from:

• People with addiction problems, please phone directly
• Family, whānau and friends affected by someone else’s addiction
• Other services working with the person affected by addiction problems.

Description

Community managed detoxification/withdrawal is provided in a planned way and takes place in an outpatient or community setting. This is a medical detox for people where withdrawal doesn’t require inpatient medical support. The service may provide mobile home managed withdrawal and also manage medication as required during the withdrawal process.
