Description
Unfortunately, smoking is an addiction for many of our whānau. We all know someone who smokes and wish they didn’t. This addiction is not only costly, it also often brings death and disease, and subsequently misery for all involved.
Smoke-Free Mums
Choices delivers a mobile Smoke-Free Programme specialising in pregnancy. This is a free service to help you or someone in your whānau give up smoking. It is available to all ages and specifically targets mums-to-be, new mothers. their pēpi, along with whānau. This offers a wide range of motivational activities and support including:
- Home and clinic appointments
- Individual and group clinical assessments
- Nicotine replacement therapy (NRT)
- One-on-one for on-going support
- Smoke-free and breastfeeding support
Choices also offer incentives for pregnant women and their whānau that live in the same household.
