Family Link provides support, education and advocacy to family/whānau (including children) who have a family member who is experiencing mental unwellness and/or addiction.
Family Link is based in the beautiful Historic Village in Tauranga. The boundaries of our service are Waihi Beach in the North, Otamarakau in the South and the Kaimai Ranges in the West.
We have two contracts with the Bay of Plenty District Health Board; one to support, educate and advocate for family and whānau who have a family member who is experiencing mental unwellness and/or addiction, the other contract is supporting children, adolescents and youth who have a parent or family and whānau member with mental unwellness and/or addiction. (Supporting Parents Healthy Children - SPHC.)
Family Link also has a free library, booklets and pamphlets available.
Families are important. We encourage family members to contact us, and/or for services to refer families and whānau to Family Link for support, education and advocacy.

We will teach you useful coping strategies, so that when life gets hard, you can bounce back easier. And all this is done in a fun and creative way. How Support Zone works: Providing an opportunity for children, adolescents & youth to learn about what mental unwellness & addictions are & their effects. Learning useful coping skills that will build resiliency to support children and youth in their everyday lives & through the tough times. Presents an opportunity for children and youth to express themselves in a safe, supportive environment. Education is achieved using fun, creative activities. We encourage positive peer relationships with other young people who can understand your experiences, so you don’t feel alone. We offer: Individual support & group programs for young people Support Zone is tailored to the uniqueness of each family We can assist parents & whānau, by finding the right resources & information for your children And for professionals, if you have a family or client in your care & need information or resources, we can provide this or point you in the right direction, to meet your client’s needs. Travel Directions
We are located in Building 70 at the Historic Village which is situated in the village on the Cameron Road side of the Kollective building. There is signage to direct you to our car park and signage on Building 70 to direct you to our offices.
When you come down the 17th Avenue hill from Cameron Road, turn in the second gate on your right (opposite the St Johns Ambulance building) then turn right and follow the road past the Kollective (the road then veers left) then turn right up the hill and park in our carpark. Then walk down to the Grey building (building 70) and follow the signage to our offices
