CAFS main base is at Hawke’s Bay Fallen Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital in Hastings, however it has clinicians working from Napier Health, Wairoa Health and Central Hawke's Bay Health Centre in Waipukurau.

Referral Process
Te Harekeke CAFS requires a referral as point of entry, which can come from families, GPs, schools and other organisations that work with children and families. Young people can also self refer to CAFS.
If your child is experiencing mental health problems, get in touch with CAFS to arrange an appointment.

Description
If you are having difficulties with your mental health and/or addictions and are aged 18 years and under, you and your family/whānau will be referred to Te Harakeke, the Child, Adolescent and Family Service (CAFS).
CAFS will work with you and your family/whānau to find out what is causing your problem.
Staff
Among your helpers will be psychiatrists, nurses, family therapists, psychologists, social workers, counsellors, occupational therapists and a dietitian. A Pou Ārahi (cultural strategist and mediator) is also available if you want further support.

Hawke's Bay DHB offers free bus free bus transport for outpatients and their caregiver/support person to and from scheduled appointments at Hawke’s Bay Hospital and at Napier Health.
