A referral is required for entry into Mana o te Tangata Youth Peer Support Service. Once recieved the referral will be triaged by our team at our weekly MDT meeting. If the referral meets Mana o te Tangata criteria the referral will be allocated to one of our Youth Peer Support Workers. The client will then be invited to an initial apointment to meet with a staff member and discuss the best ways in which they can be supported. Please note Mana o te Tangata is not an urgent or crises service.
Youth Peer Support includes one-on-one Peer Support and programmes such as Resiliency programmes, Strength programmes and Girls Youth Group. This is provided by our experienced Youth Peer Support Workers who are passionate about working with our rangatahi!
