Access to this service must come via referral from a South Canterbury DHB Mental Health & Addiction service.
This service is for individuals 20 years and over with a primary diagnosis of moderate to severe alcohol and/or other drug dependency.
This service provides residential support and treatment for people who are experiencing significant harm as a result of their own alcohol and or other drug use. A range of options are available dependent on the treatment plan.
This service assists people to access a range of support services related to community living such as recovery education, vocational and social, as well as alcohol and drug rehabilitation services. Emphasis is placed on integration into the community and access to community based rehabilitation options such as specialist or cultural assessment and social work.

Access to this service must come via referral from any source including: GP, DHB, Social services and self referral. Acceptance will be subject to the management and team at Caroline House.
This service is for individuals 20 years and over with a primary diagnosis of moderate to severe alcohol and/or other drug dependency.
This service assists people to access a range of support services related to community living such as recovery education, vocational and social, as well as alcohol and drug rehabilitation services. Emphasis is placed on integration into the community and access to community based rehabilitation options such as specialist or cultural assessment and social work.
We provide a range of scheduled daily activites as well as drop-in centre services. Daily activities are available at Craigie Avenue and within the local community. There is a small fee to cover costs of some activities. Health & Fitness Activities e.g. walking, swimming, Tai Chi, X-box games, mindfulness Educational activities e.g. computer skills, healthy lifestyles Lifeskills e.g. meal preparation, personal presentation, time management and communication skills Arts, crafts, knitting, card making, sewing Youth Action group (under 30yrs) Volunteers group Bargain hunting Family/whānau inclusion day Housie Woodwork Pottery Mystery trips/outings Baking Annual client camp Daily lunches and Thursday evening meal Music Karaoke Games e.g. cards and scrabble Outreach service monthly to Temuka and Waimate Drop in during our opening hours for: Food: We make a light lunch every day and have a hot meal on Thursday night (small charge for meals) Support and Planning: Staff work within the Strengths model providing supports to implement short and long term goals Weekend Service: for cards, darts, pool, boardgames, socialising etc Community Participation: our staff will liaise with the wider community to assist clients in accessing courses, work experience, voluntary work, supported leisure and creative activities in the community

Services provided include: Employment support and education Career planning Assistance with CV preparation Assistance with letter writing Personal presentation and interview skills Ongoing support for both the employee and employer once employment is obtained

Anyone can refer (including self referrals). We do require confirmation of a Mental Health Diagnosis from a Health Professional to support the referral. Please feel free to use the referral form attached and to speak with one of our team to discuss the referral.
