Referral Process

Referrals are accepted via self-referral, GP or community agencies for individuals, aged 18 years plus, in Palmerston North.

Existing service users are encouraged to contact their care coordinator in the first instance.

Description
This service provides culturally appropriate assessments and treatment for adults from 18 years old living with a moderate to severe level of mental illness residing in the Manawatu region.
 
Services include supportive care/treatment during acute phases of unwellness, medication prescribing and monitoring, individual therapy e.g. DBT (Dialect Behaviour Therapy) , ACT (Acceptance and Committment Therapy) CBT (Cognitive Behaviour Therapy), relapse prevention planning and recovery focused work with individual clinicians.
