Referral Process
All Youth Respite referrals come through Canterbury DHB Specialist Mental Health Services.
Adult Crisis Respite referrals usually come through Canterbury DHB Specialist Mental Health Services but can also come from GPs via Health Pathways online.

Description
Adult and Youth Crisis Respite is provided to manage times of crisis.
Our Youth Service has one bed in total for respite in the residential facility. The Adult Service has 13 crisis beds.
All of our Adult Respite Services provide a warm and supportive environment for short stays. There is some ability to meet bespoke needs. Our staff take care of meals, laundry and housekeeping at Crisis Respite, allowing guests to focus on getting well or keeping well.
Youth Respite provides young people with the opportunity to have a change of scene and support to manage times of crisis.
